A career spanning over 40 years in FMCG (Fast moving consumer goods), David has developed his knowledge and management style working at depot level with Nurdin & Peacock (At the time the second largest Cash & Carry operator in the UK, second only to Bookers)
David ended his career with N&P in 1996 where he had progressed from shop floor worker to General Manager (during that time he had moved from South West London to Chester/Manchester).
In 1996 he joined Batley’s Cash Carry at their Head Office in Huddersfield as a Trading Controller gaining experience in many different categories and developing new areas for the company. In 2003 he joined Nisa-Todays at their Head Office in Scunthorpe, working with the Today’s group (Wholesale side of the business – Today’s demerged from Nisa in January 2012). Again, covering numerous categories, but the last 10 years have seen his focus set on Off/On Trade Licensed. Negotiation terms with key Blue-chip suppliers, as well as presenting at the group annual overseas conference to over 300 people. The past 2 years he has Headed the group On Trade division developing Company strategy and negotiation Key Joint Business plans.
